At many colleges, parents can also give their children
alumna/us waivers; consult
this list for a
sampling of schools that offer such waivers. Please note that your relative
will possibly need to obtain a special form from their college's graduate
services department in order for them to grant you a waiver. Since the
definition of "legacy" differs from college to college, you will want to check
with the admissions department to make sure you qualify for such a waiver. You
may need to submit a paper application instead of an electronic one in order
for the waiver to be honored.
