Free in special cases

Free for certain programs
  • Bridgewater State College – Joint Admissions program with Massachusetts Community Colleges
  • DePaul University – community college dual admissions
  • Everglades University – graduates of Keiser College
  • Henry Cogswell College – transfer students who earned/will earn WSCC Associate's before entrance
  • Indiana University of Pennsylvania – Robert E. Cook Honors College applicants
  • Marist College – Bridge Program applicants
  • Meredith College – graduate school applicants only
  • Michigan, University of – College of Pharmacy's Medicinal Chemistry program, if U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Salem State College – Joint Admissions program with Massachusetts Community Colleges
  • Simmons College – free for Dix Scholars
  • St. John Fisher College – New York State HEOP applicants
  • Vanderbilt University – Peabody College only, for education and human development programs
Free for high-credential applicants

If no requirements are noted, you will likely be notified by the college if you are eligible for a preferred applicant waiver. An easy way to let a college know about your credentials is to sign up for their mailing list. This often results in students being sent application fee waivers — do not wait for them to find you on their own!

  • Clarkson University – paper free for transfer applicants and all applicants who interview (on- or off-campus)
  • Colby College – free for students from Maine
  • Eastern Kentucky University – students who submit application at any admissions information session held off-campus
  • Hollins University – waiver given to interested students at admissions fairs who sign up for the mailing list
